PALMVIEW, Texas – The Palmview Parks & Recreation Baseball and Softball Programs kick off in March and teams will play on improved fields. Staff continues to work on our four fields at Municipal Park. They’ve added new dirt and leveled all the infields, improved the dugouts on all four fields, added new canopies, added fencing and new gates, added a sidewalk that leads into field 4, added LED Lights in the parking lot and the park, and crews are currently re-doing the large batting cage between fields 3 & 4 and adding turf.
Once the fields are complete, crews will begin working on the concession stand. The improvements are part of the City Council’s commitment to improve the City Parks. Around $200,000 has been earmarked from recently acquired certificates of obligation.
