PALMVIEW, Texas-The City of Palmview’s annual Independence Day Celebration will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, from 6-9:30 p.m. at Palmview City Hall (400 W. Veterans Blvd. This free event will feature live music by Vinyl Spin, a patriotic costume contest, a watermelon eating contest, a best apple pie contest, games, food vendors, a petting zoo, and a spectacular fireworks show.
Holiday revelers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the festivities with us as we celebrate our nation’s birthday.
The games and contests will begin at 6 p.m. Vinyl Spin will take the stage at 7 p.m. and take us straight thru to the fireworks show which will begin at 9:15.
Before and during the celebration, Veterans Boulevard in front of City Hall will be closed to all traffic. Parking for the event will be available in the parking lots on Palmview Commercial Drive and on Commercial Plaza.
The best viewing location for the fireworks show will be from the west side of City Hall where the seating area will be located.
