PALMVIEW, Texas-The City of Palmview continues to help residents prepare for Hurricane Season. Today, June 17, we will again distribute sandbags to residents from now through 7 p.m.
Residents will get four bags while businesses can get up to six. The self-serve distribution is next to the new Palmview Municipal Library at 505 Palmview Commercial Drive.
The bags, sand, and shovels are provided, and residents must fill their own. Help is available for the elderly and disabled.
Proof of residency is required.
Today’s distribution is part of several that are planned throughout Hurricane Season to help residents be prepared. The first distribution was on June 14 and the City handed out 156 sandbags.
