PALMVIEW, Texas-City of Palmview has partnered with Wonderful Citrus and The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley to give 230 Palmview residents a free turkey. The goal is to help residents in the community who may need a little help this Thanksgiving have a traditional holiday meal.
The turkeys will be handed out via a drive-thru giveaway on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, starting at 9 a.m. Only Palmview residents are eligible to receive the free turkeys and proof of residency along with an ID is required.
The distribution will be held at the Palmview Gym located at 406 W. Veterans Boulevard and the entrance will be through Palmview Commercial Drive. The turkeys will be distributed on a first come basis and only two families per vehicle will be allowed.
This is the third consecutive year that the City of Palmview has partnered with Wonderful Citrus to hold this event and this year we gratefully welcome the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley as a partner for this community annual event.
