Posted on September 21, 2023

PALMVIEW, Texas-The Palmview City Council this week recognized the women of the Palmview Police Department. The recognition is part of National Policewomen’s Day celebrated across the country this month.

Chief Jose Trevino who was on hand for the recognition of his officers said that here in Palmview we celebrate our women year-round.

Palmview PD consists of three female officers. The first is Patrol Officer Monica Marquez who also oversees the department’s First Responder Mental Health Program and is part of the state’s peer network support team for officers across the state.  We also rely on the vast law enforcement experience of Reserve Officer Anabel Lopez who oversees the department’s youth programs. Lastly, we have Police Cadet Alexandra Hall who is currently attending the police academy.

The Mayor and Councilmembers thanked the officers for their dedicated service and reminded the community about the essential role officers play in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of our citizens.
