PALMVIEW, Texas- Congratulations to Palmview Human Resources Director Jerry Villarreal who was just named the HR Management Professional of the Year for cities with a population of 25,000 or less. The special recognition comes from his peers, all members of The Texas Municipal Human Resources Association.
Each year, the members bestow several awards to recognize the work and leadership displayed by HR personnel throughout the state. In the HR Management Professional of the Year category, the award is given to an employee who exemplifies significant leadership skills such as the ability to lead and guide employees, develop employee talents, and successfully manage an efficient and effective unit.
Mr. Villarreal was also a finalist for the Rising Star Award for cities with a population of 25,000 or less. This award is given to a member who shows exceptional promise of leadership and contribution to the association and profession.
The recognitions were made in Denton on May 8, 2024, during the annual TMHRA Conference. The City of Palmview asks the community to join in recognizing Mr. Villarreal for his dedication to promoting best practices in the workplace, being innovative, and demonstrating leadership.
