PALMVIEW, Texas- The Palmview Police Department began its STEP enforcement through the Impaired Driving Mobilization initiative on December 13, 2023, and will run through January 1, 2024.
The focus is to increase DWI enforcement to reduce the number of alcohol-related traffic crashes during peak holiday traffic. The Palmview Police Department aims to increase the enforcement of traffic safety-related laws and reduce DWI crashes, injuries, and fatalities. STEP is an initiative of the Texas Department of Transportation funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The Palmview Police Department reminds drivers that they will join law enforcement officers throughout the state this holiday season to keep drunk drivers off Palmview streets. “Drink. Drive. Go To Jail”
