PALMVIEW, Texas-The Palmview City Council held a special meeting on May 15 to canvass the May 4, 2024, Municipal General Election votes. The count required by law officially declares Alexandra Flores the winner in the Place 3 Council seat race. Surrounded by family and friends she was sworn in for a second term on the City Council.
Council Member Flores thanked the community for giving her another four years to serve the City that she loves saying that her desire to make a difference is just as strong as when she was first elected in 2020. “I’m looking forward to another four years, starting from scratch. Usually, when a council member comes in for a second term, the energy dies down. It can not die down. We’re going to amp up and we’re going to do as much as we can for the City of Palmview and I’m going to make sure your vote was worth it.”
Flores received 747 votes compared to Eric Sanchez who received 451 votes.
