PALMVIEW, Texas- As Labor Day weekend approaches, the Palmview Police Department has increased patrols throughout the community, aiming to ensure the safety and security of residents and visitors during this busy holiday period.
The increase in patrols began on August 15 and will run through September 1, 2025. Officers will be conducting increased patrols to curb alcohol-related incidents and remind all drivers that driving under the influence can result in substantial penalties, including fines of up to $2,000 and jail time of up to 180 days.
The department emphasizes its dedication to fostering safe driving practices and educating the community about the severe risks and repercussions of impaired driving.
