PALMVIEW, Texas- The Palmview Police Department has concluded its “Drive Sober. No Regrets.” traffic enforcement campaign, which ran from June 26 to July 13, 2025. Conducted in collaboration with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the campaign focused on increasing traffic enforcement and removing intoxicated drivers from local roadways during the busy Independence Day travel period.
Throughout the initiative, Palmview officers conducted 467 traffic stops, resulting in one DWI arrest and five arrests for other criminal offenses. The department’s increased presence served as a visible deterrent to impaired driving, reinforcing the message that driving under the influence will not be tolerated. The Palmview Police Department remains committed to participating in future TxDOT-sponsored enforcement initiatives, especially during high-risk holiday seasons, to continue promoting roadway safety and responsible driving behavior.
