PALMVIEW, Texas- The Palmview Police Department invites all teens aged 14-18 to participate in this Summer’s Joint Public Safety Academy. The program is being held in conjunction with the Mission and Alton Police Departments giving teens interested in first responder careers an opportunity to get an inside look via three departments.
The one-week academy will be held from June 24-28 and the cost is only $15. Those interested must register. Palmview PD will hold a recruitment fair to register teens and to answer questions on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Palmview Police Department.
The Public Safety Academy is designed to introduce teens to the work of first responders such as police, fire, and EMS.
