PALMVIEW, Texas- To enhance public safety during the busy Spring Break period, the Palmview Police Department announces plans to increase patrols throughout the area. This strategic initiative will occur from March 7 to March 23, 2025. The goal is to curb the potential rise in fatal and serious injury crashes typically associated with heightened road activity during this time.
By deploying additional officers to monitor traffic and enforce driving laws, the department hopes to deter drinking and driving, reckless behavior, promote safer driving habits, and ensure everyone can enjoy a secure and enjoyable break.
Police Chief Jose Trevino reminds the community that driving under the influence comes with potential fines of up to $2,000 and up to 180 days in jail.
