PALMVIEW, Texas- The City of Palmview is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for its All-Inclusive Park, set to take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10 a.m. The event marks the beginning of a transformative project aimed at enhancing the community’s recreational facilities and inclusivity.
This park is the first phase of a comprehensive three-phase development project spanning 10 acres of land, strategically located at the intersection of Goodwin (FM 492) and Marla Drive. The land was acquired from La Joya ISD to support Palmview’s vision of creating an inclusive environment for all its residents.
In a significant investment in the community’s future, the City of Palmview is dedicating over $1.2 million to construct a four-acre All-Inclusive Park specifically designed for children with special needs. This project has been made possible, in part, by a generous $500,000 grant from the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation, reflecting a shared commitment to improving the quality of life for children across the community.
Southern Remodeling, the contractor entrusted with bringing this vision to life, anticipates completing the park within a 6-month timeline, ensuring that the community can soon enjoy this new space.
Future Phases of Development
The All-Inclusive Park is just the beginning. Phase 2 of the development project involves constructing a new $7 million Fire Station/Emergency Operations Center, with work expected to commence in early 2026. This facility will enhance emergency response capabilities, further ensuring the safety and well-being of Palmview’s residents.
Looking ahead, Phase 3 will see the development of a new city hall, which will serve as a central hub for municipal operations and community engagement.
