PALMVIEW, Texas- The City of Palmview and the Palmview Police Department will commemorate National Crime Victims’ Rights Week on April 26.
The 2023 NCVRW theme is Survivor Voices: Elevate. Engage. Effect Change. This year’s theme calls upon communities to strengthen the voices of survivors and create environments where survivors have the confidence that they will be heard, believed, and supported.
Palmview Police Chief Jose Trevino says the goal of this commemoration is to provide hope for survivors by reminding them that they matter and have a place in our community.
The commemoration includes the 1st Annual Candlelight Vigil in honor of all victims of crime. It is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Palmview City Hall, 400 W. Veterans Boulevard.
The City of Palmview and the Palmview Police Department call on all residents to participate and give survivors in our community the voice they deserve.
