PALMVIEW, Texas- After an extensive search and interview process, The City of Palmview will welcome a new Chief of Police on December 5 during a noon ceremony. The city has named, Jose Trevino, with 22 years of law enforcement experience as the city’s top police officer.
City Manager, Michael Leo says 25 applicants from across the United States applied. Five very qualified individuals were interviewed with Trevino being selected as the city’s new chief.
Trevino will direct the day-to-day operations of the department which has an authorized strength of 24 officers, seven communication officers, and three civilian employees.
The Swearing-In Ceremony will be held at the Palmview Parks & Recreation Gym located at 406 W. Veterans Boulevard at 12 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022. The ceremony is open to the public.
