PALMVIEW, Texas- The Palmview Municipal Development District(PMDD) has a new Director. Palmview businesswoman Norma Chapa was sworn in during the entity’s monthly meeting of August 14.
Appointed by the City Council, she joins the seven-member board and will serve the unexpired term previously held by Jose Luis Perez, who resigned due to employment conflicts. The role of the PMDD is to stimulate economic development and growth opportunities within the City.
Chapa also serves as the vice chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The PMDD board members are all volunteers and meet once a month at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
The PMDD and the City of Palmview welcome newly sworn-in Director Norma Chapa.
