PALMVIEW, Texas- The Palmview Municipal Development District(PMDD) has a new board member. Palmview Council Member Cesar Pena Jr. was sworn in during the entity’s monthly meeting of March 12.
Appointed by the City Council, he joins the seven-member board and will fill the spot previously held by Mayor Ricardo Villarreal whose term expired. The role of the PMDD is to stimulate economic development and growth opportunities within the City.
The PMDD board members serve two-year terms and are all volunteers. They meet once a month at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
