PMDD Board of Directors

PALMVIEW, Texas- The Palmview Municipal Development District (PMDD) welcomed a new Director and two re-appointed Directors this week.  Avelina Segovia was sworn in on January 29, 2025, and will serve the remaining year of Councilmember Alexandra Flores’s term.  Flores stepped down from the PMDD Board to focus more on her family, her job, and her Councilmember duties.

Espie Ochoa and Lucy Rosales were re-appointed and sworn in during the same meeting.

The PMDD consists of seven members known as directors and they are appointed by the City Council.  The role of the PMDD is to stimulate economic development and growth opportunities within the City.  All three directors say they are excited and ready to help Palmview continue to bring new businesses to the City while also helping the local businesses that have chosen Palmview.

Meanwhile, as required by the entity’s bylaws, the board also elected new officers. The board re-appointed Espie Ochoa as president, Lucy Rosales as Vice President, and Dulce Cortina as Secretary/Treasurer.

The PMDD board members are all volunteers. They meet once a month, usually on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
